The game involves the development of connected routes and nodes, often represented as routes between destinations. This is differentiated from Connections in that it provides some in-game effect beyond merely scoring, such as the ability to trigger actions, or requiring maintenance costs.
Catan
CATAN® the original strategy board game. Embark on a quest to settle the island of Catan! Start by revealing Catan's many harbors and regions: pastures, fields, mountains, hills, forests, and desert. Guide your settlers to victory by clever trading and smart development. Gather resources (grain, wool, ore, brick, and lumber) to build roads, settlements and cities, and to buy development cards that will help you on your quest. Acquire your resources by rolling the dice and trading with others. But beware – you never know when the wily robber might steal some of your precious gains!
Karuba
Finally! After a long voyage, the treasure hunters have reached the island of Karuba and can start hunting for the hidden treasures. Who will lead their expedition team as cleverly as possible along the jungle paths, pay attention to the other players and keep their eyes open for gold and crystals along the way?
Karuba by HABA is an excitingly different placement game for children and adults. All players simultaneously seek their way through the jungle. Who lays their path tiles the cleverest, finds the best route and still has enough time to walk the paths at the end? A game with a clear addictive factor!
Saboteur
Players slip into the role of gnomes. As a gold seeker, they go hunting for the precious metal in the mine. Suddenly, a pickaxe breaks and the pit light goes out. The saboteur has striked. But who of the players is the saboteur? Do you find the gold first or lead the saboteur's sinister actions to the target?
After three rounds, the player with the most gold pieces wins.
Ticket to Ride Europe
Ticket to Ride is a cross-country train adventure in which players collect and play matching train cards to claim railway routes connecting cities throughout North America.
The longer the routes, the more points they earn.
Additional points come to those who can fulfill their Destination Tickets by connecting two distant cities, and to the player who builds the longest continuous railway.
Seafarers
Build ships, set sail, and conquer the magnificent island world of Catan. Nine voyages of discovery are awaiting the settlers.
The expansion can also be combined with CATAN - Traders & Barbarians and CATAN - Cities & Knights. The scenario box CATAN - Legend of the Sea Robbers is offering 4 new, comprehensive scenarios for this expansion.
Traders and Barbarians
Well-tried variants such as CATAN Event Cards, Harbormaster, and Catan for Two offer alternatives for customizing the game to your own needs. In addition, the 2-player variant allows you to play the Base Game as well as all scenarios of this expansion against only one opponent.
Over the course of a campaign with five scenarios, the story is told of how things develop on Catan after the first settlements and cities are built.
