Return to the world of Pandemic with On the Brink and prepare for the unexpected. The three challenges included with this expansion evolve the base game mechanics in exciting ways. One disease might become a Virulent Strain and become more difficult to treat as the game goes on. Or you could introduce an unpredictable fifth disease with the Mutation challenge and watch it pop up in unexpected places. Finally, teamwork is even more important if a fifth player dons the mask of the Bio-Terrorist and spreads panic while moving secretly across the board. Try each challenge individually or combine them all for a major test!

Good coworkers and charitable donations make life easier for the zoo director. If he uses the donations skillfully he will acquire additional animals and vending stalls. If done right he can make the zoo even more attractive and new to those who visit. In this way he will attract more visitors and earn more income. With correct management of these new resources a player can become the Zoo BOSS.

The zoo grows and prospers: new animals are added regularly and the animals provide offspring from time to time. Once a zoo is full and few new animals are added, it can become boring. Also, zoo managers find it useful to share their animals by sending them to other zoos. Of course, the new zoos like the additions and reward those who sent them.

Normal Zooloretto rules enhanced with mission cards. At the beginning of the game, every player gets one of the five cards coming with this expansion. Each card shows three animal types. This card has to be kept secret.
