Assembling the Avengers

Last week we were delving in dungeons deep as we added another spawn point to Super Dungeon Explore, this week, we're sticking with the Chibi style but instead we're exploring the Marvel Universe with Marvel United from CMON Games.

Marvel United is a very family friend co-operative game where players take control of heroes in the marvel universe in a battle against one of a number of supervillains. For the core set that's Red Skull, Ultron and Taskmaster, however, through the kickstarter we also have another 25 villains that were added and they are all surprisingly different to fight against.

The minis themselves are excellent quality. There's a few mold lines and a little shrinkage, but the plastic is nice and sharp and there's so much character in all the sculpts, they have been an utter joy to paint. On average a standard character model, for example a Zombicide Survivor or a Descent Hero might take me between 1 and 2 hours. The Marvel United minis have been between 3.5 and 5 hours per mini but I am incredibly pleased with the results.

Here we have the core set villains...

And the core set heroes...

There's plenty more pictures in the Gallery and you can always follow along on a daily basis via Twitter or Facebook.

Until next time, have fun painting...
